debates such as how Muslims can contribute to Western society and the
role of Women in Islam.

We will raise money for charity, while leading an entertaining competition
of sorts (ping-pong, pool, foosball, etc.) for the people of the Village
and others to enjoy. In addition to raising money for charity, we will

everyone will have exactly the same tastes in music, the BLOC will allow
them to expand their interests and greater appreciate the cultural diversity
of the St. Louis music scene. Our members will attend a wide-range of
musical events, including but not limited to chamber music events on
campus, concerts in the Gargoyle, local performances in St. Louis, and
touring music groups in larger venues.
Music
Immersion in St Louis
We will immerse ourselves in the St Louis musical scene and promote
music education among the Washington University community. Our immersion
encompasses a large spectrum of music that includes the modern genres
of hip-hop, R&B, alternative rock, and the classic genres of classic
rock, gospel, and classical music.
Sports
Enthusiasts
We will help organize intramural teams as well as competitive and non-competitive
pickup games on campus. Through this, we will promote an active, healthy,
and social lifestyle among Village residents. In addition to playing
sports, we will attend Washington University and professional sporting
events.
Transfer
Year & Beyond
We will share our own experiences as successful transfer students with
incoming transfers. We want to create a community where any new student
feels welcomed and finds resources readily available. Members will offer
support as the new transfers adjust to their new school, take outings
to various cultural events in St. Louis and generally help integrate
transfer students into the Village and WU community.
